A Rockland, Maine native, Rhonda H. Nordstrom spent twenty years working in the corporate world west of Boston and studying business and communications at night. All the while, her heart wanted to be back in Midcoast Maine.

In 1999, Nordstrom became a licensed aesthetician after attending the Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics, Woburn, MA, and shortly thereafter became a certified clinical aesthetician through the Victoria Rayner Institute in Washington, DC. In December 2002, she moved back to her hometown and opened nordström skin care studio, wherein as the only practitioner, Rhonda performed facials and hair removal services and offered a small selection of products for retail sale.

Today, nordström skin care employs 10 full and part time employees including aestheticians, massage therapists, a nail technician and front desk staff, and Rhonda is living her dream of owning a bonafide day spa treating all types of skin conditions, and offers much needed relaxation to people from all walks of life.
